The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner Surfaces In A Duo Of Tonal Colourways

Whether you love them or hate them, there’s absolutely no doubt that Kanye West’s Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner will change the sneaker game as we know it. The shoe, which officially dropped last month on Yeezy Supply, features a hugely different aesthetic that we’ve never seen from Ye.

Previously, we had only peeped at the grey, blue, and black version, but new images of ‘White Gum‘ and ‘Triple Black‘ silhouettes have surfaced online, thanks to the one and only Yeezy Mafia.

Following the new trend of chunky ‘dad shoes’ which seem to be heavily inspired by old school skate shoes and ‘90s-era adidas models, the ‘White Gum’, which featured heavily on a Vogue Australia editorial, is pretty much what it says on the tin. Wrapped in broad swathes of white, the clean shoe is constructed from leather and mesh and sits on top of a chunky midsole which is finished off with a durable gum outsole underneath.

On the other hand, the ‘Triple Black’ Wave Runner isn’t entirely black, with minimal white hits present on the lateral side of the shoe. The sneaker also incorporates premium suede along the side panel for a beautifully contrasted aesthetic. It’s worth mentioning that both of these Yeezy Boost 700s feature Boost technology embedded within their soles for added comfort.
